Thank you for your question. In Morocco, the country is actively engaged in the digital transition on all levels, and the Ministry of Youth, Communication, and Culture is increasing digitization projects to inventory, protect, and promote Moroccan heritage. It has launched a geoPortal for Moroccan heritage, plus the platform : www.culture.ma, as well as the “Moroccan Heritage” label for this purpose. However, there is not yet a dedicated platform for historical heritage conservation projects, but it is likely to be developed soon.
Thank you for your interest and question. In fact, while ICT have significantly benefited Morocco's cultural heritage preservation efforts, there are potential drawbacks. These include the risk of cultural commodification, the digital divide, over-reliance on technology, cybersecurity and privacy concerns, and environmental impact. To fully harness the benefits of ICT while minimizing these risks, Morocco needs to adopt a balanced approach, prioritizing ethical practices, sustainable technologies, and community engagement. I hope I answered your question
Congratulations Ethel for your very interesting presentation. Could you please explain how can e-commerce contribute to the empowerment of African women in disadvantaged social environments? Can these women, if they are illiterate, expect any kind of support to start their own projects online? And under what conditions?
Congratulations, dear Albert, on your very interesting presentation, which has shed light on many aspects of digital transformation in African universities. Do you think that African universities can rise to this challenge despite the sometimes challenging socio-economic environment, knowing that resistance to change may also slow down this digital transformation?
